Tarnish is a natural reaction between silver and elements like oxygen or sulphur in the air. It’s not a flaw—it’s proof of authenticity. Only real silver tarnishes, and the good news is simple: it’s completely reversible.

2. Last On. First Off.

A simple habit that makes all the difference.

• Apply first, wear last: Perfume, cologne, lotions, and hair products should go on before your jewellery.

• Remove before activity: Sweat and friction can speed up tarnishing—take your pieces off before exercise or heavy movement.

3. Water & Your Jewellery

• Showering: Clean water is generally safe, but always dry your jewellery thoroughly afterward.

• Pools & hot tubs: Avoid entirely. Chlorine can permanently dull or damage sterling silver.

• The ocean: Saltwater can be corrosive over time. Rinse with fresh water immediately after swimming and dry well.
